Fanatics Collectibles, in partnership with Fanatics Live, has introduced an exciting new program called ‘The Ten’. This initiative is designed to celebrate and reward collectors who discover the top 10 sports cards on the market. Taking inspiration from popular lists like the “Billboard Hot 100” and the FBI’s “Most Wanted”, ‘The Ten’ showcases a dynamic selection of cards from all sports. Collectors who successfully pull one of these cards on the Fanatics Live app will be awarded $10,000 in Fanatics Live credit.
‘The Ten’ will feature a monthly rotation of cards, carefully chosen for their popularity and rarity. For example, collectors may come across gems like the 2023-24 Bowman Chrome University Bronny James/LeBron James 1/1 dual-auto card or the yet-to-be-pulled 2023 Bowman Chrome Baseball Draft Tom Brady 12/50 inscribed card.
The inaugural list of ‘The Ten’ includes a mix of legendary athletes and rising stars. Fans can anticipate the presence of iconic figures like Tom Brady and Steph Curry, alongside up-and-coming talents like MLB’s Corbin Carroll and Anthony Volpe, and NBA’s Luka Doncic and Chet Holmgren. The diverse portfolio of cards will encompass popular brands such as Panini, Upper Deck, Topps, and Bowman.
James Kollar, the senior director of marketing at Fanatics Live, expressed the program’s goal of enhancing the collecting experience and their commitment to giving back to collectors and the hobby. ‘The Ten’ aims to foster community engagement by allowing Fanatics Live participants and the collecting community to have a say in the monthly card selections.
In addition to rewarding collectors, ‘The Ten’ also serves to promote new products and reinvigorate interest in existing card releases with chase cards. This program provides dealers and collectors with a platform to showcase these special cards, generating excitement and sparking conversations within the community.
Fanatics Live has planned pack and box breaks, as well as special shows dedicated to ‘The Ten’. These events will celebrate major discoveries and announce the upcoming cards to further engage enthusiasts. To keep track of the cards and their finders, a dedicated webpage will be available, adding to the narrative and overall experience.
‘The Ten’ program goes beyond just the cards themselves. By focusing on the stories behind the collectors and their finds, it offers a unique storytelling aspect that adds depth to the collecting journey. Since its debut, Fanatics Live has experienced consistent growth, with an average watch time of 56 minutes, showcasing its emergence as a community-focused platform. Kollar expressed his enthusiasm for the potential impact of ‘The Ten’ program, both on the Fanatics brand and the collector community as a whole.
‘The Ten’ program is set to revolutionize the collecting experience, providing collectors with the opportunity to discover rare and highly sought-after sports cards while fostering a sense of community and excitement. With the wide range of cards from different sports and brands, ‘The Ten’ ensures that there is something for everyone in the world of sports card collecting.
