Topps, the renowned trading card company, has joined forces with the NCAA to introduce the highly-anticipated March Madness Basketball Card Series. This exclusive collection comprises packs of eight cards, each priced at $139.99. The highlight of every pack is a guaranteed autograph card from a selection of standout players, including the likes of Zach Edey from Purdue, the men’s Player of the Year, and Caitlin Clark, the women’s Player of the Year.
In addition to the autographed card, each pack contains six base cards featuring the featured athletes and one parallel card, which is limited in number to 99 or fewer. The March Madness series is currently available for purchase on Topps’ official website, with the opportunity to acquire dual autograph cards, found in approximately one out of every ten packs.
The collection showcases a handpicked group of 20 prominent figures in collegiate basketball, ensuring a diverse and exciting lineup for collectors. The male roster boasts names such as Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham from Kentucky, Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle from UConn, and Kyle Filipowski from Duke, to name a few. On the women’s side, stars like Cameron Brink from Stanford, Aaliyah Edwards from UConn, and Paige Bueckers from UConn add to the allure of the series.
Among the most sought-after dual autographs in the series are unique pairings like Clark/Edey, Clark/Reese, Reese/Van Lith, and Sheppard/Dillingham. Notably, Topps’ collaboration with Caitlin Clark is set to conclude on April 1, as she prepares to enter an exclusive trading card partnership with Panini America. Despite this, the NCAA partnership has allowed Topps to infuse its products with the iconic March Madness branding, paving the way for future collaborative endeavors.
Leading up to the release of the March Madness series, Topps has steadily unveiled over 120 Bowman U cards via the Topps NOW platform throughout the season. Among these releases, 61 cards have featured college basketball talents, with Caitlin Clark prominently showcased in 13 different cards—the highest count for any college athlete. College players have been a consistent presence in Topps’ Bowman University line for the past two years, enhancing collectors’ experiences with the vibrant world of collegiate sports.
